Please continue to bank only at former Coastal Bank locations until the system conversion concludes on Tuesday, September 2, immediately following the September 1, Labor Day holiday. After the system conversion, you will be able to conveniently bank at all Ameris Bank locations, located throughout Georgia, Florida, Alabama and South Carolina. Please reference the Conversion Resource Guide for additional information.

Beginning Wednesday, August 27, 2014, stop using and destroy your Coastal Bank Debit/ATM card and begin using your new Ameris Bank Visa® Debit Card. Your Coastal Bank Debit/ATM card will no longer be active as of Friday, August 29, at 7:00 PM/EST.
If you would like to change your PIN, call our automated Free Telephone Banking line at 866.616.6020; first choose option 1 for Free Telephone Banking, followed by option 1 (from a touch tone phone), then option 7, followed by option 3. Or, you may choose option 0 to speak with a Customer Care Representative. Beginning Tuesday, September 2, you will also be able to change your PIN at any Ameris Bank ATM.
Unless you receive a separate notification from Ameris Bank, you may continue using your current Coastal Bank checks until your supply runs out. When you need to reorder checks, please contact your local Ameris Bank location.
Beginning Tuesday, September 2, you are welcome to order checks from another vendor, outside of Ameris Bank's preferred vendor, Deluxe. If you choose to do so, please notify the vendor of the new Ameris Bank Routing Transit Number, 061201754.

Unless you receive a separate notification from Ameris Bank, you may continue using your current Coastal Bank checks until your supply runs out. When you need to reorder checks, please contact your local Ameris Bank location.
Yes. Ameris Bank allows customers the option of receiving printed statements or E-statements. Printed statements are mailed out via the United States Postal Service. To receive E-statements, you must first enroll into Online Banking and then indicate that you prefer to receive your statements electronically. An email will be sent to your preferred email address when your statement is available. Please note: A final Coastal Bank statement will be mailed on Friday, August 29, 2014, reflecting transactions posted to your account after your prior statement mailing date through August 29. This final Coastal Bank statement will be a paper statement mailed to the address within your banking profile.
Your statement schedules may change. Interim Statements will be mailed to all Coastal Bank customers reflecting transactions posted to your account(s) after your prior statement mailing date through Friday, August 29, 2014. Future statement dates are dependent upon account type, so please refer the Conversion Resource Guide for more details about future statement generated dates.
Your current Coastal Bank personal checking account will transition to the Ameris Bank operating system without any changes. The checking account name, along with all features and benefits, will remain exactly the same upon conversion. We have made every effort to convert your current savings and money market account to a similar Ameris Bank solution. For a complete listing of savings and money market conversion solutions, please reference the Conversion Resource Guide.
All automatic transfers and reoccurring automatic transfers currently established between two accounts will continue upon conversion. If you currently have an automatic transfer established to prevent overdrawing a checking account, and funds are needed to complete a transaction on and after Tuesday, September 2, money will automatically transfer in $50 increments from your linked account, at a price of $5 per transfer that will be assessed to the sending accounts.
Yes. Your Safe Deposit Box location and size will remain the same after the conversion. Note however that Safe Deposit Box prices and payment due date may change. Refer to page 4 of the Conversion Resource Guide for more information regarding Safe Deposit Boxes.
Beginning Tuesday, September 2, loan payments can be made by visiting your local Ameris Bank location, or US mail. Loan payments submitted by the US mail must be sent to:

If you currently have a credit card issued by Coastal Bank, please continue to use and make payments as customary. Credit Cards issued by Coastal Bank will not be affected by this conversion.
The Coastal Bank Online Banking will no longer be available after Sunday, August 31. On or after Monday, September 1, you must enroll in Ameris Bank Personal Online Banking by visiting amerisbank.com. For step-by-step enrollment instructions, please reference the Electronic Banking Users Guide, page 22 of the Conversion Resource Guide.
Personal Online Bill Pay will be affected by the conversion. Please take note of these important dates: Online Bill Payments paid by check: All bills scheduled within Online Bill Pay prior to or on August 28 at 10:00 PM (EST) with a due date of September 4 or earlier will be processed. Online Bill Payments paid by check with a due date of September 5 or later will not be processed through Online Bill Pay. Online Bill Payments paid electronically: Bills scheduled within Coastal Bank Online Bill Pay prior to August 28 at 10:00 PM (EST) with a due date of September 2 or earlier will be processed. Online Bill Payments paid electronically with a due date of September 3 or later will not be processed. Customers that use E-Bills: Existing E-Bill relationships within the E-Bill system must be disabled prior to Thursday, August 28 at 10:00 PM (EST). This must be done so that you can re-establish E-Bills after enrollment in Ameris Bank Online Banking. Otherwise, you will have to work with the merchant to disable existing E-Bills before you ca n re-establish Ameris Bank Online Bill Pay E-Bills. Beginning Monday, September 1, you may reschedule payments through Ameris Bank Online Bill Pay.
After Friday, August 29, you will not have access to your electronic documents; therefore, we ask that you retain all past banking statements you many need in the future prior to Friday, August 29 at 6:00 PM (EST). To continue receiving Ameris Bank E-Statements, visit amerisbank.com, on or after Monday, September 1, log into Online Banking and indicate your preference to receive electronic statements. Please note: A final Costal Bank statement will be mailed on Friday, August 29, 2014, reflecting transactions posted to your account after your prior statement mailing date through August 29. This final Coastal Bank statement will be a paper statement mailed to the address within your banking profile.
Coastal Bank Text Banking will no longer be available after Friday, August 29. To continue with Ameris Bank Text Banking, on or after Monday, September 1, you must activate Ameris Bank Text Banking from within Personal Online Banking. Reference Page 34 of the Conversion Resource Guide for Text Banking Enrollment support.
After Friday, August 29 at 6:00 PM (EST), Coastal Bank Mobile Banking will no longer be available. On or after Monday, September 1, you must first enroll in Ameris Bank Personal Online Banking and then you can download the Ameris Bank Personal Mobile Banking App to continue Ameris Bank Mobile Banking. Reference page 33 of the Conversion Resource Guide for Mobile Banking enrollment support.
Due to Ameris Bank and Costal Bank offering a different set of Deposit and Savings account options and solutions, some of your account names and features may change. We have made every effort to convert your current deposit and savings account to a similar solution. As you review Ameris Bank solutions, you may find a different account that more closely meets your needs. One of our experienced bankers will be happy to assist you in making the change to a more suitable solution.

Coastal Bank Mobile Banking will no longer be available after Friday, August 29 at 6:00 PM (EST). On or after Monday, September, enroll in Ameris Bank Business Online Banking (if no pre-enrolled due to currently having Coastal Bank Business Online Banking), and then download the Ameris Bank Business Mobile Banking App. Reference page 33 of the Conversion Resource Guide for Mobile Banking enrollment support.
